In December 2023, Michael May, president and CEO of CCRM, joined more than 60 employees to participate in the organization’s first holiday blood drive.

In December 2023, CCRM supported our Partners for Life program with an incredible kick-off event! More than 60 CCRM employees donated blood, helping to ensure that blood and blood products would continue to be available to patients in the weeks leading up to the holidays. Michael May, president and CEO of CCRM, rolled up his sleeve to donate blood alongside his colleagues at the group donation event. The initiative was led and coordinated by CCRM’s volunteer council, which was newly founded to help further CCRM’s impact by supporting causes that align with the organization’s mission and values.

CCRM is a Canadian not-for-profit organization supporting the commercialization of regenerative medicine-based technologies and cell and gene therapies. With a shared focus on serving patients, the organization’s volunteer council was passionate about supporting Canadian Blood Services as one of its first initiatives, knowing that the message and the need would resonate with employees.

With its first donation campaign complete, CCRM is excited to keep the momentum going! Each donor who participated in the December campaign has expressed interest in donating again, and the volunteer council plans to organize additional donation events in the future. CCRM understands the lifesaving nature of blood and blood products and looks forward to making all the difference through the Partners for Life program.
