The Sikh Nation (Sikh Quom) around the world reaches out and embraces the vision that all humans should live a safe and happy life. Sikh Nation’s annual campaign for humanity in November is designed to unite people to remember their past while donating blood and plasma to help patients in Canada.
Sikh Nation’s dedicated group of volunteers held their first blood donation event in the lower mainland of British Columbia in the late nineties. Since then, their annual event has expanded to include donation events engaging thousands of donors across Canada.
Together, Sikh Nation and its 10,000 volunteers across Canada have saved and transformed thousands of lives. Their contributions make all the difference to so many others touched by their impact.
Sikh Nation is one of Canadian Blood Services’ largest contributors to the pledge-based Partners for Life program. Together, their volunteers are playing a vital role in ensuring Canada’s national system for blood and other life essentials reflect our country’s cultural mosaic.

- Set up an account on blood.ca/PFL or the GiveBlood app for Apple or Android.
- Select ‘partners’ from the menu.
- Select ‘join a team’ and type ‘Sikh Nation’ (it will appear in the drop down list).
- You can join the national team as well as a regional team.
- Book your next appointment with your team via ‘team bookings’ (visible under your team name).
Sikh Nation donors are committed to supporting patients and Canada’s Lifeline through their annual donation drives in November and beyond. In fact, many of their volunteers have become regular donors year-round.
Sukhdeep Singh has been a volunteer with the Sikh Nation initiative since its inception. “By helping to save lives we want to commemorate those who lost their lives,” he said.
“As a campaign whose core is deep-rooted in saving lives, each individual life that is saved strengthens our living monument,” shares Jastej Kaur, a longtime volunteer with Sikh Nation. “This living monument that was created over the past 25 years will continue to grow and exist for lifetimes.”
