Brief biography
Dr. Ed Pryzdial is a Canadian Blood Services Senior Scientist, located at the University of British Columbia, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine where he is a Clinical Professor in the Centre for Blood Research. His graduate work was in Biochemistry at the University of Toronto with postdoctoral training at the University of Vermont Center of Thrombosis. Dr. Pryzdial participates in a number of scientific community services including grant, scholarship and fellowship evaluation committees and manuscript review.
Research interests
The work in Dr. Ed Pryzdial’s laboratory concerns hemostasis protein biochemistry in virology, clot dissolution, rare coagulation disorders and transfusion science. He is supported by competitive operating grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, and Canadian Blood Services.
