Official Draw Rules (“Draw”) 

PRIZE:

The Prize will be a Canadian Blood Services / Peace Collective limited-edition donor hoodie valued at $139.00, which will be awarded to each member of a winning Donation Group, as defined below. 

Prizes must be accepted as awarded, are non-transferable, and may not be substituted or converted to cash. 

Prizes will be allocated on a regional basis as outlined below.  

HOW YOU COULD WIN: 

  1. No purchase or donation necessary: No purchase, donation, or buccal (cheek) swab of any kind is necessary to enter the Draw or to win a Prize. 

  1. Draw Period: The Draw begins on Tuesday September 8, 2026, at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time, and ends on Sunday, December 6, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.  

  1. Draw Eligibility: The Draw is open to all legal residents of Canada, except residents of the Province of Québec, who are at least 17 years old. No donation required. 

  1. Donation Group: Two (2) or more individuals who book and attend a blood, plasma, or platelet donation appointment (“Donation Appointment”), on the same date, during the Draw Period. For further clarity, members of a Donation Group must attend an appointment on the same date, but do not need to attend at the same Canadian Blood Services location (i.e., donor centre or donation event) or attend at the same time. No maximum Donation Group capacity. Subject to eligibility requirements, individuals may participate in more than one Donation Group.  

  1. Entry: Each person who successfully completes the steps outlined in section 6 below (“Entrant”) shall earn one (1) Entry for their Donation Group. Each Entry is directly tied to a Donation Group. Limit of (1) Entry per Donation Group member. Entries may not be duplicated across different Donation Groups. 

  1. How to Enter: 

  1. Book and attend a Donation Appointment as a Donation Group;  

  1. Scan the QR code at the donor centre or donation event, then complete and submit the Draw Entry Form*, correctly answering the skill-testing question. The name and email address you provide on the Draw Entry Form must exactly match the name and email used for your Canadian Blood Services donor account. If you are unable to complete your Draw Entry Form at the time of your appointment, please call us at 1-888-2-DONATE (1-888-236-6283) for assistance; and  

  1. *Individuals under the age of majority in their province of entry must submit a completed Fall Get Together: Blood, Plasma, Platelet Parent/Guardian Consent Form (“Consent Form”), to prize@blood.ca before their Entry is deemed eligible. Failure to submit a completed Consent Form voids membership in a Donation Group. The information provided on the Draw Entry Form must match the information on the Parent/Guardian Consent Form. Entrants are only required to submit one (1) Fall Get Together Parent/Guardian Consent Form, regardless of the number of Entries they submit during the Draw Period. 

  1. Draw Dates and regional allocation:  

  1. Thirteen (13) draws will take place during the Draw Period on the following dates: September 14, 21, and 28; October 5, 12, 19, and 26; November 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30; December 7, (“Draw Dates”). 

  1. Up to fifty-two (52) Donation Groups will be chosen as prospective winning Donation Groups during the Draw Period.  

  1. Four (4) eligible Entries will be picked on each Draw Date from the following regions:  

  • One (1) from British Columbia; 

  • One (1) from Ontario; 

  • One (1) from the Prairie Region (collectively, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba); and 

  • One (1) from the Atlantic Region (collectively, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland & Labrador, and Prince Edward Island). 

  1. The winning Entries will be selected from each region’s Entry Pool, which shall consist of all eligible Entries submitted and received in each region by 11:59 PM ET on the day before each Draw Date (“Entry Pool”).  

  1. The Entries of Donation Groups who have not been selected in a Draw will remain in the Draw Pool, for their respective region, for the entire Draw Period. 

  1. An Entrant may only win a Prize once during the Draw Period. For further clarity, an Entrant who is part of multiple Donation Groups may only win one (1) Prize, regardless of being a member of multiple winning Donation Groups.  

  1. Selecting a winner:  

 

The first eligible Entry selected from each region on a Draw Date will represent the prospective winning Donation Group from that region for that Draw Date. Once an eligible Entry is drawn, the Donation Group associated with that Entry will receive a communication through the contact information provided to Canadian Blood Services on each of their registration forms. If no response is received from at least one (1) member of the prospective winning Donation Group within five (5) business days of the notification being sent, the Prize will be considered forfeited, and another Entry will be selected from the remaining eligible Entries. 

    

  1. Winning Donation Groups may opt to have their Prizes (a) picked up from their previously selected donor centre, or (b) shipped, in accordance with the following: 

  1. Donation Groups who opt to pick up their Prizes will have ten (10) business days to collect their Prizes (calculated from the time they receive notice that their Prizes are available for pickup), or Canadian Blood Services will consider them forfeited and select another Entry.  

  1. Donation Groups who opt to have their Prizes shipped may choose (1) one address, within the participating regions, to have all Prizes shipped to. Multiple shipping locations will not be accommodated. It is the responsibility of the group lead to confirm receipt of the prize and ensure their group members receive their hoodie.

  1. Canadian Blood Services will use Entrants’ personal information to administer the Draw. Canadian Blood Services may also use this information to contact you about our programs, including donation opportunities.   1. By entering this Draw, each Entrant agrees to comply, fully with these rules, and, for each winning Entrant, to the use of their name, image, photograph, voice, sobriquet, place of residence and/or statement regarding the Prize for advertising, promotion, or publicity purposes, or for general news, entertainment, and information purposes, without compensation. 

  1. This Draw is subject to all federal, provincial, and municipal laws. Void where prohibited. All decisions made by Canadian Blood Services are final. 

  1. Canadian Blood Services reserves the right to modify or cancel the Draw in whole or in part, including extending the Draw Period at their discretion. 

  1. This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with any social media platform including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn.
