Saying thanks by giving back

Every time I come to donate blood, I have a surge of gratitude and get emotional.

Last year, a visit to emergency quickly turned into something unimaginable. We thought my husband had a migraine, but instead he was diagnosed with leukemia.

His recovery was made possible because of the countless blood and platelet transfusions he received, and a stem cell transplant.

Today, he is home with my 6-year old daughter and I, filling our lives with love and laughter.

I donate so I can share the gifts my family has received, time with the ones you love and good health. We are forever grateful to the people that donate and I’m proud to be one of them.
