Saving my own life

I last gave blood in January, 2020. The next time I tried to give blood was March, but I was unable to due to low hemoglobin. I had recently been very sick after attending a conference in Toronto, so I thought my diet must be off. Next month I again tried to give blood but no luck, low hemoglobin again. It then took another 6 months before I was diagnosed with myeloma. I wouldn't have been aware of this except for my attempt to give blood alerting me to the fact that I was sick. For anyone hesitating about giving blood, please know that it saves more than just other people's lives, it may save your life as well.

Best wishes to everyone battling with cancer. My battle is going very well, and I am thankful to everyone who has contributed to that.
