Back in November of 25 I started feeling tired all the time. No matter what the task I felt tired and standing up off the ground made me feel lightheaded. I finally went to the doctor in early January of 26 and he had me go in for standard bloodwork. My hemoglobin (blood levels) came back so low it read 53 with an iron count of 7. Hemoglobin of 53 isn’t enough for major organs to keep functioning. Anyway, I did the bloodwork on Thursday the 15th of January. On the 16th of January my family doctor called me from the local hospital and said the blood work results didn’t make any sense, but I needed to go to into the hospital immediately. After another round of bloodwork, it was confirmed I needed an emergency blood transfusion to avoid dying. My blood type arrived from a neighbouring hospital and after several IVs enough blood was injected to save my life. Turns out I had been bleeding internally and slowly for several months! Thank you to all who give!!
