For more than a decade, SAP has been supporting Canada’s blood system. The company first became involved in 2003, when employees made group donations at an off-site mobile clinic. Seven years later, SAP hosted its first Bloodmobile clinic, and joined the Partners for Life program.

Since 2010, SAP has hosted 21 clinics, bringing in 660 units of blood to date. Included in those donations are 100 from new donors and 91 from reinstated donors. SAP continuously promotes blood donation and educates its employees about the need for blood through What’s Your Type? events and roundtable discussions. David Hilton, SAP’s Partners for Life champion, also works with several businesses in the area to bring in new donors and create new partnerships.

SAP is one of only a few local sites that host the Bloodmobile every 56 days. The organization’s dedication and strong leadership are key to the success of these clinics.
