Report to the Senate Standing Committee 2011
Report to the Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology
In November 2011, Canadian Blood Services made a written submission (PDF) to the Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology as part of the review of the 10-Year Plan to Strengthen Health Care.
This review is an important part of the public and government discussions leading up to the renegotiation of the 2014 Health Accord.
Given the experience of transforming the blood system, Canadian Blood Services brings a uniquely valuable perspective to discussions around healthcare renewal, particularly related to accountability, sustainability and equality: that of an accountable, evolving, pan-Canadian healthcare service provider funded by all P/T jurisdictions (except Quebec).
We are pleased to be part of the national dialogue on this topic of vital interest to all Canadians.
