Lidice Bernardo Reyes
Brief biography
Dr. Lidice Bernardo Reyes earned her bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the Biology School of Havana University, followed by a master’s in medical Virology and a PhD in Health Sciences from the Tropical Medicine Institute in Havana, Cuba. She then pursued postdoctoral studies at the University of Toronto and Canadian Blood Services (Toronto, ON), where she focused on understanding the mechanisms by which anti-D immunoglobulin prevents hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn. Dr. Lidice Bernardo Reyes also has extensive experience in the biologics manufacturing industry, having worked for over eight years as a Scientist in Vaccine Manufacturing at Sanofi Pasteur within the Analytical Science department. In October 2024, she began her role as Development Scientist with the Process and Product Development group of Canadian Blood Services.
