  • Reading the Clinic Search Results

    Using the Clinic Locator

Step 1: Go to the Clinic Locator. To go there now, click here.
Step 2: Enter in an address, city or postal code in the appropriate boxes, then click FIND CLINICS. You may search using one or all three fields.

    Refining Your Search

By default, the clinic locator searches for whole blood clinics within 15km of your location occurring in the next 60 days. You can change these options by selecting a different distance, specifying a date or range, and by choosing the type of clinic (whole blood, plasma, platelets, or What's Your Type).

Tip: If you are looking for clinics in an area with a sparse population, you can widen your search by specifying a greater distance.

    Plasma and Platelet Clinics

Plasma and platelet donor clinics are by appointment only, and may not always appear in the clinic locator. If your search does not yield any results for these clinics, please call 1 888 2 DONATE for a convenient time and location.

Our plasma and platelet clinic hours and direct contact information can be found at the following links:

"What's Your Type?" Blood Typing Events

If you are not quite ready to donate blood, Canadian Blood Services operates the "What's Your Type?" program for people to discover their blood types. You can find these events by selecting "What's Your Type? Events" in the clinic locator.

Note: These are blood typing events only, and no donations are collected.

    Reading the Clinic Search Results

A clinic search results table shows you clinic information and details that may be helpful when scheduling your appointment. Results are shown 10 at a time, so there may be several pages of clinics matching your search criteria. If no results match your search parameters, the clinic locator will display the 10 closest clinics.

The following is a list of items that may be displayed with the results and what they mean.. You will also find a map showing the locations of the clinics relative to your's after the search results.
