Data sharing with CBMTG registry

The Canadian Blood and Marrow Transplant Group (CBMTG) maintain a database on recipients of autologous and allogeneic transplant in Canada, dating back to 1990. Data is captured at the time of transplant and at regular intervals following transplant using standardized forms. The registry contains detailed clinical information, including patient diagnosis, the conditioning regimen, GVHD prophylaxis methods, comorbidities prior to transplant, and outcomes following transplant. A total of 18,812 patients are included in the CBMTG Registry, with 1214 separate variables. Specific data related to unrelated donor searches coordinated by OneMatch are not included, such as the time required for each step of unrelated donor search, specific donor information and details related to the cellular therapy product. In this proposed collaborative partnership, we will demonstrate the feasibility of sharing data between OneMatch and the CBMTG Registry in 2 projects that have been recently identified as priority projects by the Canadian transplant community. Both projects require additional donor specific information that requires data-sharing between OneMatch and the CBMTG-Registry. Completion of these projects will provide a foundation for many future collaborative opportunities between CBMTG and OneMatch and will be critical for improving clinical outcomes for Canadian transplant patients.
