I am a Registered Nurse for Canadian Blood Services in Ottawa for 5 years now. Recently, I was diagnosed with a form of autoimmune inflammatory neuropathy disorder, still Under investigation. After numerous medical procedures, lumbar punctures, MRI's and countless amounts of bloodwork, I started IVIG (Intravenous Immunoglobulin transfusions) in February 2025, every 3 weeks!!
Thanks to the countless donors, I get the pleasure of greeting each and every day for their generosity, I can continue to do my job. Without treatment every 3 weeks, I would not be able to walk or carry on everyday duties as a mom and my job as a nurse.
The donors mean the world to me, thanking them has taken on new meaning for me and I wholeheartedly love each and every one. Cheers to being a donor and saving me...
