Survey says: Quality mindset on the rise among employees
Results from last fall’s Quality Survey are in, with employees at Canadian Blood Services showing improvements in quality mindset. Overall, our quality mindset index increased 11 per cent from 2018. In the coming year, emphasizing quality across all divisions and roles will be an ongoing organizational priority. You can read more about the results and what they mean for Canada’s Lifeline on Connect.
2023 EX results are in
Earlier this year, 73 per cent of employees across roles and regions answered our 2023 EX-pulse survey. Respondents answered questions about their employee experience and their corporate communications preferences. These insights matter and are crucial to how we move forward. They will inform necessary changes within our organization to improve employee experience, create new programming and resources to address staff needs and modify the ways in which we communicate with you. Learn more about the 2023 results and how employee feedback is driving action on Connect.
Honour Logan Boulet’s legacy by wearing green all week, including Green Shirt Day on April 7
It has been five years since the Humboldt Broncos bus crash, where 16 people, including Logan Boulet, lost their lives. Thirteen more were injured in this tragic event that forever changed individuals, families and communities. The event also sparked a movement known as the Logan Boulet Effect, when thousands of people across Canada — inspired by the decision of Logan’s parents to donate his organs — registered their own intent to donate. From there, Green Shirt Day was born. Show your support and inspire conversations about organ donation by wearing green, and by posting pictures on Yammer of you and/or your team doing so. You can also read more on blood.ca about Logan’s legacy, the movement for life and the new T-shirt design to mark the five-year anniversary.
New plasma donor centre opens in Abbotsford, B.C.
Yesterday, we welcomed the first people to donate plasma at the new Abbotsford plasma donor centre. Plasma donated in Abbotsford is made into lifesaving medications for patients in Canada; many have no other treatment option. Nationally, thousands more plasma donors are needed to meet patient need in Canada today and into the future. If you're eligible to donate plasma, you can book an appointment at blood.ca to donate at the new centre in Abbotsford or at any of our other plasma donor centres. We also encourage you to share the news of our new centre on social media using the hashtags #PlasmaForLife and #CanadasLifeline.
