VP direction letters available on Connect
Each year at this time Canadian Blood Services publishes the direction letters to all members of the executive management team. These letters specify the key areas of focus for the leader of each division and are written by our CEO, Dr. Graham Sher. Graham also receives a direction letter from the board of directors outlining his priorities for the fiscal year ahead. Employees are encouraged to review the letters; in particular the one for their own division, to be aware of what their broader team is working toward this year. Visit Connect to read more about this process.
Celebrate International Women’s Day by embracing gender equity
Tomorrow, March 8, is International Women’s Day and to celebrate Canadian Blood Services’ Women’s Empowerment Network is hosting a virtual panel discussion from 1–2:30 p.m. ET on the topic of advancing and embracing gender equity. During this event, we have employee panelists Andrea Rogers, Khaedine Donald, Negin Farjad, Verna Chow, as well as new board member Gertie Mai Muise, sharing their experiences of equity in their professional and personal lives. They will also discuss and explore the work we all need to do to further embed and embrace gender equity at work and within society more broadly. If you’d like to attend this event, register here. All employees — women, non-binary employees, and allies — are invited and encouraged to join.
Reminder: Book your workstation in Condeco
As more employees come onsite for in-person work, it is increasingly important that you pre-book your workstation in Condeco. Doing so will help us understand the needs of our teams and avoid misunderstandings should you unintentionally sit at a workstation someone else has already booked. Click here to access Condeco. If you have questions, or require additional booking support, please reach out to email@example.com.
Submit your questions for Thursday’s town hall
Our next live town hall is this Thursday, March 9, 1–2 p.m. ET. Please submit your questions for our CEO, Dr. Graham Sher and Andrew Pateman (vice president, people culture and performance) for the upcoming employee town hall. Questions can be submitted in advance by sending them to firstname.lastname@example.org. Check your calendar invite for this event for how to submit questions anonymously. You can also ask your question live at the town hall. If you cannot make it to the live event, it will be recorded and shared on Connect in the days following.
