CIHR Health System Impact Fellowship Program


The Health System Impact Fellowship program is a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) program founded on partnerships within the health system and related organizations that are committed to the program objectives, including providing novel experiential learning opportunities for PhD graduates that accelerate their professional growth and career readiness. Canadian Blood Services is a partner organization.

At Canadian Blood Services, the successful fellow(s) will work across divisions and leadership levels within the organization and with internal and external stakeholder groups. Primary activities will include, but not be limited to researching emerging trends and technologies, environmental scanning, stakeholder engagement, evidence brief and policy development, data analyses, risk analyses, modelling and scenario development, and delivery of internal and external presentations. Fellows will also participate in aspects of other divisional initiatives and day-to-day operations. The location is Ottawa, Ontario and the duration is 12 months.
