Watch this week’s town hall recording
If you missed this week’s employee town hall, a recording is now available to watch online. Our CEO, Dr. Graham Sher, was joined by our chief information officer, Richard Smith, and our chief financial officer, Jennifer Camelon, to answer employee questions. The panel provided updates on increased in-person presence, immediate need, the use of AI at Canadian Blood Services and more.
Increasing in-person presence
Yesterday, our CEO shared that Canadian Blood Services is evolving to a hybrid work environment that intentionally balances the need for connection and collaboration with a desire for flexibility. Beginning in July, employees will be asked to increase their in-person presence to a minimum of 40 per cent of their time. The intent of this decision aligns with the heart of our brand, rooted in the power of human connections. Increasing in-person presence across our organization will strengthen and develop team relationships and create organic connections across divisions. Our physical spaces empower employees to intentionally facilitate these connections, surface and solve problems, strengthen our engagement with our brand and ground us in what we do matters. Canadian Blood Services recognizes the passing of Justice Horace Krever
With sadness, Canadian Blood Services recognizes the passing of Justice Horace Krever, on April 30, 2023. Justice Krever was the Commissioner of the Inquiry into the Blood System in Canada from 1993-1997.
