Your Questions Answered
With organizations like Canadian Plasma Resources offering to pay people for their donations, how does Canadian Blood Services plan to attract and retain donors when faced with competition?
We will continue to leverage the extensive skills and experience we have in recruiting volunteer, non-remunerated donors for more than 20 years. Our donor relations, marketing and communications teams work collaboratively to plan and implement campaigns and activities that inform, attract and retain donors. Ensuring the donor has the best possible experience is at the core of what we do and building relationships with our donors is foundational to ensuring they return to our centres regularly. Our cross-functional teams are dedicated to helping us deepen our connection with donors today and into the future. It is also important to note that with the loosening of COVID-19 restrictions, we are now able to host in-person events. We anticipate these activities will bolster our recruitment efforts across all our donor programs in the weeks and months to come.
