Upcoming workshops to fuel your body and mind
As we approach the midpoint of the Fuel Your Body and Mind campaign, there are more workshops to help you on your well-being journey! On Wednesday, March 29, at 2:30 p.m. ET, put on your workout clothes and participate in Body Balance, a GoodLife Virtual Fitness Session. This new generation yoga class will have you bending and stretching through a series of simple yoga moves, elements of Tai Chi and Pilates. You can register for the class here. Have children in your household? You may also want to sign up for our nutrition workshop, Kids & Meals, It Doesn't Have to be a Battleground, on Thursday, March 30, at 2 p.m. ET.
LOV Spotlight Series: Leading with integrity
Nominations for this year’s Living our Values (LOV) program are open until April 21, and we encourage everyone to nominate a colleague or team for this distinguished award. During the nomination period, we are highlighting previous winners who embody our organization’s ICARE values: integrity, collaboration, adaptability, respect and excellence. Jennifer Pade, donor centre manager and brand ambassador in Saint John, NB., was the Atlantic region’s 2021 winner. She was described by her colleagues as a “strong, caring and empathetic leader” who always does her best to set her team up for success. Learn more about how Jennifer embodies integrity on Connect.
Encourage your networks to share their stories on blood.ca
Sharing personal stories is one of the most powerful ways to inspire others to make all the difference with Canada’s Lifeline. At our My Story page on blood.ca, recipients, donors, volunteers, partners and others share their experiences in their own words. Know someone with a powerful story to tell about their connection to Canada’s Lifeline? Please encourage them to submit it for publication using the simple form available on that page. If you have a question about the first-person submissions at My Story, or about the articles by our communications team at blood.ca/stories, please email Susan.Burgess@blood.ca.
