Important change when logging in to EDA/MEDA
Beginning tomorrow, Saturday, July 16, employees will use MyMFA — multi-factor authentication to log in to their Employee Direct Access (EDA) and Mobile Employee Direct Access (MEDA) apps. Users will no longer be issued or need to use the Entrust Grid Guard Cards (tokens). This change will improve the security of vital employee information, while making it easier and more efficient to access the information employees need at any given time. Keeping Canada’s Lifeline connected
During last Friday’s nationwide network outage, many of us witnessed individuals and teams using innovative and creative ways to ensure positive outcomes for patients and donors. Employees went above and beyond to initiate mitigation plans and business continuity. Some folks used their personal phones, relied on coffee shop Wi-Fi, travelled to our sites, worked longer hours and remained on call until service was restored early Saturday morning. While we did lose about 30 per cent of our collections capacity due to an inability to communicate, plans are already in place to drive recovery. Visit Connect to read more about the heroes who jumped into action and find out how you can help us shine a light on our need for new donors.
The many ways to make a difference
We are constantly looking for ways to make a difference in our communities and to improve the lives of those around us. From sharing your wisdom as a mentor or providing tutoring, and from buying local to recycling, a few simple acts can improve the lives of many in your own community. Question of the day
With physical distancing requirements being suspended on July 25, can gyms re-open?
The plan to re-open our fitness rooms has been underway with the intention to open site-by-site over the summer months, depending on site readiness. Ventilation and air quality is being assessed and a booking system is being developed. Suspending physical distancing requirements does not mean we will open up all of the fitness rooms, right away. We are assessing each site’s fitness room with ventilation system specifications before it can be used by multiple people.
At this time, we have determined four fitness rooms can be opened, with several conditions in place. Calgary, Winnipeg, Brampton and Dartmouth will be opening on July 25. These will be searchable and bookable on the Condeco app. Guidance for using the Condeco app can be found here. Employees will be required to sign a waiver, available at reception/security, before key or key card access is activated.
We will provide updates on the opening dates for the remaining fitness rooms as soon as possible and we thank everyone for their continued patience as we work on this important aspect of the Return to Office project.
