About the role 

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Casual LogisticAttendants to join our dynamic Supply Chain team in Vancouver. Our Logistics Attendants ensures that all consumables, equipment and transportation supplies are ready to go for our Mobile Clinics.  Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as attention to detail are essential in this role. Key responsibilities include:  

  • Verifies shipping and receiving of products are completed accurately, efficiently and on time.
  • Checks paperwork against orders and goods received and resolves discrepancies with buyers, departments and/or clinics.
  • Completes shipping and receiving paperwork in a computerized warehouse environment and reviews for accuracy and completeness of related reports.
  • Performs QA inspection of lot accepted goods.
  • Performs related duties in database to allow for clinic drive setup.
  • Records type, quantity and lot numbers of blood bags and other controlled supplies distributed to specific clinics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and databases [ SAP, eProgesa].
  • Organizes and maintains warehouse and dock area for better efficiency and cleanliness in a timely manner.
  • Receives and sorts incoming goods, mail/packages and delivers to appropriate areas.
  • Rotates stock and checks for expiry dates.
  • Daily resupply of fridges and freezers with correct materials.
  • Maintains records and provides information regarding stores activities.
  • Performs physical inventory counts.
  • Completes clinic supply sheet as per clinic lists, fills orders as per clinic supply lists.
  • Checks and replaces clinic supplies and equipment per established quota lists.
  • Fills requisitions by picking and delivering stock and materials to all areas of facility/site using established departmental guidelines.
  • Facilitates the proper handling of soiled clinic linen and other laundry goods and supplies.
  • Ensures the proper sealing of containers, weighing and storage, labelling and accurately maintaining documentation for off-site removal and destruction.
  • Supplies smocks and linens to clinics per established quota lists.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Required skills:
  • Grade 12 plus one year’s recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment, such as forklift
  • Ability to keyboard 35 w.p.m.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.


  • Pay rate: $22.58/hour

What is the working language?

The working language at Canadian Blood Services is English. Some positions do have additional language requirements, other than English, and these requirements will be indicated on the job posting. Fluency in English is a bona fide occupational requirement for all positions.
