Ms. Winnie Leung Appointed to Board of Directors

Winnie Leung of Toronto has been appointed an interim role with the Canadian Blood Services Board of Directors as one of two consumer representatives. This appointment is effective immediately.

Since 2007, Winnie has been a patient group representative for the Canadian Blood Services' Regional Liaison Committee in Central Ontario. Her other Board experience includes the Thalassemia Foundation of Canada, and the Toronto Standard Condominium Corporation No. 1955.

Winnie brings 12 years of management experience to her role on the Board. Currently, she is a product developer and marketing and public relations consultant with Token. She has also overseen quality control, visual merchandising, production, storage, warehousing and design for a number of organizations including YM Inc., Annie Thompson Studio, PYA Importer, Mendocino and Reitmans.

Winnie is presently a professor at George Brown College's School of Fashion Studies, where she teaches quality assurance, manufacturing, business ethics and career development. Prior to George Brown, she taught at the Art Institute of Toronto, and served as Academic Department Director in Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing.
