Did you know?

Arrow  If you spend time in a region affected by malaria, you will be temporarily ineligible to donate blood.

Arrow  Depending on the length of your stay in an affected region, this waiting period can last from one to three years.

Arrow  Popular tourist destinations (Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica, etc.) have some regions where malaria exposure is a risk.

Arrow  1n 2006, we temporarily deferred over 40,000 donors due to potential exposure to malaria.
