To recognize donors' contributions and commitment to Canada's blood system throughout the year, Canadian Blood Services offers the National Donor Recognition Program.

Features of the Donor Recognition Program include:

  • All donors reaching donation milestones (10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 250, and every 50 thereafter up to 950) receive a recognition item
  • National recognition items are standard across the country and include: pins, cards and certificates
  • Recognition events are held during the months of April, May and June where donors are presented with an appreciation item
