Canada Post Labour Disruption and impact to OneMatch Stem Cell and Marrow Network

OneMatch uses Canada Post to send buccal swab kits for HLA typing to people who submit an on-line application to join OneMatch. Registrants then send their swabs to the Canadian Blood Services HLA testing lab using the provided self-addressed stamped envelope, using Canada Post.

Due to the current strike, registrants will experience delays in receiving their buccal swabs following on-line registration.

OneMatch will continue to monitor this issue and look to other options moving forward.

People interested in registering for OneMatch may attend local OneMatch events, where they can receive a swab kit on-site and their samples will be collected. A list of upcoming events may be viewed on the 'Events' link on the website
