Last year over 37,000 teenagers donated blood at Canadian Blood Services donor clinics - these young donors represented almost 9% of all blood donors - that's a pretty significant contribution! This year we’re challenging young donors to continue giving and to help recruit 90,000 new blood donors to keep pace with the demand for blood in Canada.

Enter Young Blood for Life, a recruitment program focused entirely on young Canadians. This program depends on student leaders in high schools across Canada to advocate for blood donation with their peers. In addition, Young Blood for Life will launch this Fall and challenges high schools to recruit students, teachers, their families and friends to donate at Canadian Blood Services permanent clinics.
