The BIG SAVE is one huge rally call for Torontonians to roll up their sleeves and become blood donors. It will be Toronto’s biggest blood donor clinic event of the year!

Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment in partnership with Canadian Blood Services is cheering on all Toronto residents and sports fans to donate blood together at The BIG SAVE event on March 1 at the Air Canada Centre.

Did you know that in Toronto, we use more blood than we give?

In fact, more than 50,000 units of blood are imported annually into Toronto from other Canadian cities. This year, Canadian Blood Services needs 20,000 new donors to meet the needs of Toronto patients. That’s enough people to fill the entire Air Canada Centre. But right now, we’re not even close. You can help change that.

Each blood donation is separated into three components: red blood cells, plasma and platelets before transfusion to a patient – you can save up to three lives with a single donation!
