Hepatitis C Claims

Canadian Blood Services understands the importance of your Pre-1986 Post-1990 Hep C Government Compensation Program claim and has instituted the following instructions to help process your claim package.

Before you call Canadian Blood Services

  1. Please, do not call Canadian Blood Services unless you have sent your claim package to the Fund Administrator.
    Your claim package must go the Pre-1986 Post-1990 Hep C Government Compensation Program Fund Administrator initially for it to be processed by Canadian Blood Services.
  2. Make sure your claim package been confirmed as received by the Fund Administrator.
    Another important part of the Pre-1986 Post-1990 Hep C Government Compensation process is to have the Fund Administrator confirm their receipt of your claim. Have this information ready for Canadian Blood Services.

Once you have confirmed your claim package with the Fund Administrator, it is time to call us.

  1. Calling from Greater Toronto Area (GTA) to Canadian Blood Services
    We are ready to help you process the Canadian Blood Services portion of your Pre-1986 Post-1990 Hep C Government Compensation claim. Please call Monday to Friday, 9:00am until 5:00pm (Eastern) 416-313-3211 and a Registered Nurse will be waiting to take your call.
  2. Calling from outside GTA to Canadian Blood Services
    For Canadians outside Ontario, please call our toll free number 1-800-701-7803, Ext.3211.

If you are unable to speak to our nurse immediately, please leave a brief message so we can return your enquiry at the first possible moment.
