HÉMA-QUÉBEC and Canadian Blood Services work in partnership through regular meetings between senior management of the two organizations. Moreover, the blood suppliers exchange products, when necessary, to meet hospitals' needs. The corporation obtained a separate licence from the Bureau of Biologics and Radiopharmaceuticals (BBR) and commenced operations on September 28, 1998. It complies with the federal legislation and regulations administered by the BBR and international standards.
